Day 18 - January 18, 2010

Grandma Johnson took me and Noah out to dinner tonight. We are both pretty lonely with the hubbies gone. Noah loved playing trains, cars, and play dough with grandma after dinner!

Day 17 - January 17, 2010

These are Noah's favorite movies...this week! He is really into Over the Hedge, all three of the Ice Age movies, and both of the Madagascar movies!

Day 16 - January 16, 2010

Grandma & Grandpa Johnson came over early this morning so that Grandpa could play with Noah. They could only stay for an hour...they were on their way to the airport. Reuben is leaving for Africa for 2 weeks to do missionary work. Noah is really going to be lost the next couple of weeks with daddy & grandpa gone!

Day 15 - January 15, 2010

Tonight Mom, Melanie, & I went to the Jarrett Center in Byron to Crop from 2 to 11pm. This crop was ONLY $3 tonight...can't beat that! No food provided though so we had to make a Subway run! Mom worked on cards and I put together layouts for the Lake Geneva crop next weekend. I'm STILL trying to finish Noah's baby book & move onto year 2. I also worked on my 365-Project of Life album.

Day 14 - January 14, 2010

Today I went to Rolling Green to help out Noah's class. All of the Hearing Impaired classes took their kids behind the school to the hill to go sledding. The kids had so much fun! Noah wasn't wanting to go until the very end he went with one of the male teachers and had such a BLAST! I'm so proud of him for FINALLY going down that hill!

Day 13 - January 13, 2010

I received my Lake Geneva Getaway Weekend form today! I'm so excited to be going away for the weekend with Mom & Heather. I look forward to these weekend all year long!!

Day 12 - January 12, 2010

On January 12, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. We anticipate there will be between 100,000 and 200,000 dead in total, although we will never know the exact number."
The images that are pouring in from Haiti are so heartbreaking. It just seems like there should be so much more that we can do. Sad day today for many.

Day 11 - January 11, 2010

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's tonight for dinner. Noah was thrilled to spend time with them, Uncle Billy, and Aunt Heather. It was our 1st night without Bill:( I had a really hard time getting Noah to leave...nothing new though!

Day 10 - January 10, 2010

We had our last Christmas today with the Olson's. Uncle Craig & Aunt Teresa gave Noah a new train set...which had to be put together the minute he opened it. Good thing we opened presents after we ate lunch because we had to take one of the tables down so that it would fit in the kitchen! We took a group photo on Katie's new camera but she hasn't sent it to me yet...that is what I really wanted to use as my pic for the day. It has been since Jan. 2005 since we have taken a group pic...WAY TO LONG!!

Day 9 - January 9, 2010

We spent the afternoon bowling with the girls and 8 kids for Sherrin and Gina's Birthday. After bowling we went to JMK for dinner. The adult/child ratio was way off balance!

Day 8 - January 8, 2010

Bill and I had the house to ourselves tonight. We spent a quiet night at home and watched I Love You Man and the Knowing. What a movie selection! Both of these were so different but really good. I can't even remember the last time we had a night in by ourselves and snuggled on the couch all night. I'm thinking that it might have been before we were married...sad I know!! We need to make date night a more regular thing around here!

Day 7 - January 7, 2010

I love the look of fresh snow. Today we had our 1st Winter Storm of 2010. The weather man was calling for almost 13inches by the time the storm was over but of course they were wrong. When I took Noah to school we had about 4 inches and total throughout the day maybe 6 to 8 inches...a little off! Bill had to drive to his 1st day of work down south at the Clinton Exelon Outage. It took him almost 4 hours for a 2.5 hour drive but at least he got there safe! The trees in the picture are in our front yard.

Day 6 - January 6, 2010

Noah was being so silly tonight. I caught him walking around the house with Pull-n-Peel Twizzlers hanging from his ears!

Day 5 - January 5, 2010

This is day 5 of the new "Super Nanny" bedtime routine. Tonight Noah fell asleep with the Thomas book on his face but he is in his OWN Bed!!

Day 4 - January 4, 2010

Bad news for Yenko...Vet says that he is overweight. He weighs 19.2 lbs and last year at his checkup he was only 17.6. So...Yenko is officially on a diet! Ideally he needs to loose 3 lbs. This is going to be fun for all!

Day 3 - January 3, 2010

The start of my new scrapbook room project. I really can't believe how much stuff I have collected over the past several years! Can't wait to start scrappin at home again!!!

Day 2 - January 2, 2010

This is day 2 of the new "Super Nanny" bedtime routine. After 1hr 30 mins of crying and begging for us to come to bed with him he gave up and fell asleep in the hallway. I felt so bad. I wish that he would of least laid down. It can only get better...right?

Day 1 - January 1, 2010

My in-laws have my family over ever year on New Year's Day for brunch. It was so nice to have all of the family together and the food was amazing too! In this picture Katie & Noah are taking a break from running around. Noah kept Katie pretty busy!!

Resolution Time

It is that time of year again...resolution time! As I look back at the last several years of resolutions I didn't do so well. Most of them consisted of good health and wealth. All of those are still important to me but there is something new that I'm adding to my list this year. Most people know that I have a love for taking pictures and then scrapbooking them into beautiful albums for my friends and family. I have started a new project this year called 365 Project of Life. For this project I'm going to take a picture a day to record everday life for my family. It is day 6 of the new year and all is going well. I thought that it would be fun to create a blog so that all of my friends and family can see this project as it develops! We will see how this goes! I will be posting the 1st few days of pictures later tonight.
